Scarves For Speed

Many of you will have seen the campaign on Twitter "Scarves For Speed." This campaign was started by Twitter user @ScarvesForSpeed and seems to be gaining a lot of momentum. In their own words, the aim of this campaign is:

to have every football ground in the UK this weekend singing there's only one Gary Speed, waving their scarves in the 11th minute.

Scarves for Speed also have a Facebook page, so if you are interested in finding out more then more details can be found on either that page or by following them on twitter.

There are many tributes planned for this weekend, official and unofficial, and however any football fan chooses to mark their grief at this tragedy or to celebrate the life of a true gentleman and an exceptional footballer is up to them, but this seems like a very good way for football fans to join together and remember one of the game's great servants.
