Juan Mata opened the scoring for the away side for the all-important away goal after 27 minutes.
Ezequiel Lavezzi equalised, 11 minutes later before Edinson Cavani (who makes Rooney look like Carroll) gave the hosts the lead in the 45th minute. Lavezzi doubled his tally for the night in the 65th minute and it could have been more after they had efforts cleared off the line.
The Blues lost away from home in Naples, but have the away goal and as Jeff Stelling said, they have a better chance of winning the second leg and qualifying for the Last 8 than London rivals Arsenal.
Chelsea are now calling for AVB's resignation after 5 matches without a win.... Will he be next in the firing line?
Even though neither English team will probably qualify anyway. Chelsea have to score 2 and ensure Napoli are kept quiet.... Fat chance...

Midfielder Valentin Stocker came off the bench to score a late winner in the 87th minute in Switzerland to give them a lead going into the second leg in Germany.

Marseille 1 Inter Milan 0
Winger Andre Ayew came back from ACON duty with a goal in the CL in the 90th minute, from a header to give the French side the advantage and ensure Italy did not make a clean sweep (after both Napoli and AC Milan won their ties)

The score line tells the whole story from The Ethiad Stadium....
Sergio Aguero broke the deadlock after only 19 seconds into the match to give City a 3-1 aggregate lead advantage. Edin Dzeko and David Silva both scored in the second half to give the visitors no hope of qualification, before loanee striker Claudibo Pizarro scored his first goal for his new club to punish Porto.
Defender Rolando got a red card for the away side, which gave City cruise control to destroy the Portugese side.
